Earlier this year Zapti advertised for a relief position in the maintenance team via the Group intranet. Garry Finlay, who is currently employed by Westhaven as a support worker applied and was appointed to join our team.

Garry’s transition from a support worker to an invaluable member of our maintenance team reflects the inclusive and supportive environment that defines Zapti.

Garry’s story serves as a reminder of the wonderful community we have built at Zapti, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, learn, and grow together. We’re proud to have Garry as a part of our team, and we look forward to witnessing more inspiring journeys like his in the future.

Whilst he was employed by Zapti he was able to exercise a number of learnt skills from his years working on the farm.

Meet Clint Meyers, our contractor of the month. When it comes to painting, Clint is an absolute rockstar! His dedication to his craft is truly commendable. No task is too big or too small for him, and his attention to detail is simply unmatched. Besides being a top-notch professional, Clint is an absolute gem of a person. His kindness and warmth radiate through every project, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Over the last twelve months, our team focused on operational excellence which saw the completion of 3900 repair and maintenance engagements, delivery of 15 properties for disability services via property search and establishment, expansion into the Bathurst region and much much more.

We finalised the development of a two-year strategy ‘ZAP25’; which has been designed to guide our business through a phase of sustainable growth and impact.

The strategy process developed four strategic pillars which will be the key focus for the years ahead.

Zapti was recognised in the Dubbo Business Chamber awards for Startup Business of the Year as a Top 4 finalist which is such a testimony to the organisation’s alignment with our value proposition of providing best-in-class specialised facility management services.

We were also successful in obtaining NDIS Registration for Minor Home Modification services and we provided our first NDIS Home Modification service which enabled the successful transition of a participant in a wheelchair into a standard residential home in Orange, NSW.

This month, we’re putting the spotlight on our Minor Home Modification service offering!

Since becoming NDIS registered, we’ve been truly humbled by the overwhelming support we’ve received and the high level of engagement from communities in the Central West.

Shaun Ingram, our skilled carpenter at Zapti, has been hard at work, seamlessly integrating check measures and collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists and Support Coordinators.

Our Home Modification quoting process includes a collaborative team review of the provided Scope Of Works, typically supplied by an Occupational Therapist, arrangement of a complimentary onsite assessment, during which a comprehensive check measure is conducted, forming the basis of our approach and access to the entire Zapti team at hold extensive experience in all aspects of Disabilty Housing.

Transforming Lives: Zapti’s  carpenter delivers exceptional NDIS home modifications In 2 weeks!

We are thrilled to showcase our latest success in delivering a high-quality result for our valued customers.

Our highly skilled carpenter implemented a range of modifications, including creating a level access solution for the shower entry/exit to allow commode chair usage, as well as providing a level access solution for the living room door to enable easy egress to the back veranda.

With our suppliers’ support, our customer completed a participant intake in Orange, NSW, within two weeks of the engagement. Click for more information.

How does Zapti & the NDIS work together?

Zapti will work closely with your support coordinator and occupational therapist to identify your home modification needs. Our carpenter will then complete a site visit and provide a quote for the NDIS Minor Home Modifications requested.

Once the quote has been approved our team will create a service booking and arrange a suitable time to visit your home and commence the NDIS Home Modification. When the request has been completed we will ensure you’re satisfied with the outcome and finalise payment to the NDIS on your behalf.

Repairs & Maintenance

We take pride in offering a maintenance process that is entirely transparent and hassle-free. Our goal is to provide our clients with a seamless and stress-free experience, from the moment they submit their initial maintenance request form to the completion of the requested task and payment.

Our maintenance process starts with the submission of an online request form, which is designed to be user-friendly and easy to complete. Once we receive the request the Maintenance Coordinator completes a review to ensure any urgent requests are prioritised then an assessment is completed against our response matrix.

Throughout the process, our team will provide regular updates on the status of the maintenance request including estimated completion times, any issues that may arise and final costs.

At the completion of the request, we provide our clients with a detailed invoice including any future recommendations. Our payment process is transparent, with no hidden fees or charges. Payment can be made via our many convenient methods.
