Zapti recently worked alongside a local Occupational Therapist in Dubbo, NSW, to deliver a tailored home modification solution designed to improve accessibility and support the client’s changing mobility needs.

Working from the OT’s recommendations and the existing layout of the property, several custom modifications were delivered throughout the home.

The works included a custom modular access ramp with bilateral handrails and custom powder coating, designed to provide a safe and practical transition from the driveway to the front entrance. A custom landing and floating top plate were also incorporated to accommodate the existing raised concrete pathway and provide a practical solution tailored to the property.

Inside the home, Zapti installed a custom R12-rated shower insert to improve bathroom accessibility, along with two custom rubber threshold ramps to provide smoother transitions between areas of the home.

Zapti coordinated the project from procurement through to installation, working closely with the OT and local trades to ensure each modification aligned with the recommended specifications and the client’s individual needs.

The result is a series of practical, purpose-built modifications that improve accessibility and support safer, more independent movement throughout the client’s home.
